Background

Driver:

Páll has been interested in Formula Offroad for many years. His dream was to compete in his own roaring machine. He got the opportunity to buy the car that went by the name "Zombie" and he just couldn't pass the offer, so here he is with his own vehicle for the 2018 season. Páll competed for the first time in motorsport in 2015 in Rallycross on his own vehicle. That same year he snatched the title Icelandic Champion in Rallycross and won the Cup, all in one year. In 2016 he got second place in both the Icelandic Championship and in the Cup Tournament. A year later he competed on a car he got from a friend that he had never driven before to participate in the Cup and landed in second place. He clearly has shown he got the skill behind the wheel of a car, but Formula Offroad and Rallycross are two completely different sports, we'll see how he handles the the steep hills in his own Formula Offroad car. 😉

Car:

The car was originally built by Ingólfur Guðvarðarson and his team "Guttinn Reborn" back in 2013. In Skien, Norway Kjartan Guðvarðarson rolled the car straight down which destroyed the car completely. They sold the car to the driver Aron Ingi Svansson the winter 2013 - 2014. Aron competed on the car with the name "Zombie" which fitted perfectly seeing as the car was a wreck when he decided to rebuild it. Páll bought the car in 2017 from Aron to finally have his dream fulfilled. The changed Páll has done to the car is to go over all the electrical system, rebuilt the front roll-bar, changed the mounts for the shocks and more!

We cannot wait to see him race in Hella 2018.
