Background

Driver;

Before Árni caught the Off-Road fever he serviced a car which belonged to Stefán Ásgeirsson, yet deep in his bones he knew it wouldn't be good enough. He began his own career in Formula Off-Road back in 1988 on a daily-drive car made out of Isuzu Gemin and Ford Bronco but then he raced in the Street Legal class.

Car;

1989 Árni arrived with a brand new car which was a revolution in Formula Off-Road, which was completely custom made. Instead of the typical seat arrangement in regular cars he moved the driver's seat in the rear of the vehicle and in middle, making it long and narrow and the front made out of two Bronco, with springs for suspensions all around and hydro link steering. That year he won most of the competitions and ended up with the Icelandic Champion title on his name. After the race season he sold the car to a local TV station.

The year 1990 he built yet another car with the same seat arrangement, rear and middle. That particular car was truly one of a kind and very neat. He is well known as the Coca Cola car back in the days. His winning streak continued through out the '91 and eventually sold his car.

After his third year as a Icelandic Champion he took some years away from the sport and no one saw him race for a decade. It wasn't until 2012 when he bought his old car back and raced once again. He ripped the car apart to improve some of it's quality after previous owners and competed in 2012 in Vestmannaeyjar and did not leave the race empty handed for he won that race by far.

After that competition he sold the car yet again to two fellows up in north Iceland, Elmar Jón Guðmundsson and Þór Þormar Pálsson.

Today Árni has bought his masterpiece back from Elmar, who was then the soul-owner of the car, and began ripping it apart like he did before to modify and improve the car to be the best of the best. His plan is to make his grand return in Bikini Bottoms Off-Road Park in TN, USA next fall (in 2016) Heimasætan has gained her old appearance, has lost around 100KG after Árni bought the car back. The exhaustion pipes are massive. The driver is a legend.

What could go wrong?
